Welcome, Witchy Soul. 

I'm Joanie, founder of ApotheCharity.

I've always been drawn to the things that make life feel a little more magical - beautiful books, moonlit nights, cozy corners, gothic charm, and the stories we tell ourselves about who we are. That's why I started ApotheCharity.

I wanted to create a place where fellow lovers of witchy décor, gothic home décor, dark cottagecore treasures, tarot-inspired gifts, and enchanting home accents could discover pieces that felt like they belonged in their own story.

Whether you're decorating a reading nook, building your dream witch's library, creating a cozy gothic sanctuary, or searching for the perfect gift for a fellow witchy soul, I believe the objects we surround ourselves with should bring us joy and inspire our imagination. 

Then life changed.

About a year after starting ApotheCharity, my husband was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Six months later, he was gone.

In the months that followed, I wasn't sure I wanted to keep going. The little shop I'd built suddenly felt insignificant compared to the grief I was carrying. More than once, I considered closing the doors for good.

But something unexpected happened.

People kept showing up. Customers placed orders. Kindred spirits shared encouragement. Complete strangers reminded me that creativity, connection, and beauty still matter, even during life's darkest seasons.

Little by little, ApotheCharity became more than an online shop. It became proof that wonder can survive heartbreak.

Today, every collection is curated with intention. From gothic décor and witchy home accessories to journals, tarot treasures, dark cottagecore accents, and unique gifts for book lovers, my goal remains the same: To help you create a space that feels unapologetically yours.
